August 4, 2005. Ice Cream Social. Participants cranked out home made ice cream and played traditional and new games. July 29, 2005. Summer Library Adventure - Going Places on Stilts. Stephen Chase and Noah Siegel helped everyone build their own pair of wooden stilts, and gave a lesson in using them. Then lots of practice and mastery! July 21, 2005. Summer Library Adventure: Going Places with Clay. Talented artist Kerry Stone led a program on creating “Tree Masks” using clay that participants have taken a bark impression by pressing the clay into the tree and then using that to create a tree mask. July 14, 2005. Summer Library Adventure: Going Places on a Horse. Wendy Warner of Seven Springs Farm in Royalston, demonstrated basic horsemanship and discussed grooming and safety issues July 8, 2005. "The Tempest" - a workshop production of the Royalston Shakespeare Company, featuring 30 local kids, directed by Norah Dooley and Beth Gospodarek. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library. On March 17, 2005 the library Cross Culture Club met with Lily Moresco Carra to learn about Argentina. On March 10, 2005 the library Cross Culture Club met with Ruth Suyenega to learn about Japan. On February 24, 2005 the library offered a family ice sculpture class taught by Royalston sculptor Tom Kellner. Here are some photos from that fun event! |
