January 12, 2008: Twelfth Night Contra Dance
Once again, the Friends of the Library sponsored a community contra dance. It was at the Town Hall from 7 - 8:30 pm. Dances were taught by Norah Dooley and accompanied by the stage full of local musicians who make up the No Name Band. A Traditional Twelfth Night cake, which has a hard bean and a pea baked inside, was served. Revelers who were served cake containing the royal legumes were crowned royalty for the dance.
